SMP OC Exchange Letter 2025
May. 16th, 2025 11:56 pmHello gifter! I find it easier to organise my thoughts on something other than a google doc, so I've made a letter instead. I am always more than happy to elaborate on anything in here, so absolutely feel free to ask!!
I am always open to treats of any medium!

Brief OC Information:
I have two 'sets' of OCs, the Nether Generals, and East. They are from entirely separate worlds and do not interact in any way. The Nether Generals are Nether based, East is an overworld chthonic harvest god with a split-off of their soul in the Nether. The Nether Generals do not have specific designs as of yet, merely vibes and ideas, whereas East does have a design, both in terms of a minecraft skin, and an art piece.

Aberdeen is a blaze hybrid, to use fandom terms. He is masculine, with a punk-ish aesthetic. Lots of golds and yellows and oranges, and he's capable of 'flight'. I don't have much in the way of a physical description, but he's somewhat similar to Ashton from Critical Role's 3rd campaign. Not in terms of colour, but in terms of aesthetic/vibe. He's a little louder, stubborn, but ultimately fiercely loyal.
Quill
Quill is a ghast hybrid, once again using fandom terms. They are very ambiguous gender-wise, perhaps a little more on the feminine side, and have a romantic white goth style (lots of layers, lace, details, etc, but feel free to simplify). They are albino, and wear only white with hints of red. They have long hair, and tend to dress with more flowing pieces of clothing. With the whole ghast hybrid thing, I ignore how in game ghasts actually look besides their colour palette, because I think that's not the vibe I'm going for. I think more along the lines of a ghost instead. They are fairly reserved, but determined and selfless nonetheless.
Pyre
Pyre is a magma cube 'hybrid'. He is masculine, with dark skin and lava coloured accents. He lost his right arm (to the shoulder) in a battle, it leaked magma for a good while before it crusted over. He's fairly easygoing, often the mediator of the group, laid-back, but a quick thinker. He has slightly longer hair, in a sort of styllised dreadlock-like style.
Ire
Ire is a wither skeleton, but I imagine her with a face not just a skull. She has 'flesh' (not really, it's some form of arcane magic) on her head and bust, but her ribs and spine are entirely exposed at the least. Some of her bones have been replaced with gold, instead of looking like they're made of solid ash, these bones were damaged in battle. She is a lot quieter than Aberdeen and Pyre, much more on Quill's level. She can still be incredibly commanding when she needs to be though, when she tells you to do something, you do it.
Ruby
Ruby is a female piglin, a little on the stouter side, but by no means a runt. She's closer to brown than pink, with short tusks. She tends to wear traditional piglin clothing, tunics, swaths of fabric tied at the waist, lots of braids, etc etc. Her left leg was severely injured in battle, causing her to have to use a wheelchair for a while, and leaving her needing a cane afterwards. She is very fiery and outspoken, and can out-drink everyone else.
Aberdeen and Quill are also in a relationship. What type of relationship? Who knows!! It's Something, whether it be a QPR, romantic, platonic, or whatever. Go nuts with the relationship anarchy.
If you do decide to place them in the world of Philza's Hardcore S4, feel free to include any of the canon characters except Phil! He, She, Sandy, Blaze, I would be happy to see any and all of them. Sandy I also envision as a blonde piglin.
East is the chthonic harvest god of the overworld. East most often takes the appearance of her human self, a tall, fair human with braided brown hair and simpler clothing, a large hat and a shepard's crook with a lantern.
However, for a while I have been thinking about incorporating a little bit of sculk into their design. Nothing too over the top, just a nod to their origins. Since its announcement, I have also been thinking East would make a really neat creaking hybrid, or creaking-like creature.
East's ghost/Lethe
An echo of East, Lethe is a ghost/ghast. She is a greyscale version of East, with red and occasional gold accents. Such design conventions would remain the same regardless of the changes to East's form. Lethe is not necessarily a direct mirror of East, but is clearly the same person. Perhaps more distressed, more disheveled.

Minecraft Skin by myself
Lethe is what becomes of the part of East's soul that split off into the Nether. She retains few memories of her life, and has no knowledge of East herself. All she is left with is a searching feeling, trying to find a home and a people to belong to. She is an echo of East. Meta wise, she is repurposed from an old character I played on a server several years ago.

Their World
The generals were made originally as side characters to populate the Nether, as the Blaze Empress' generals. Feel absolutely free to incorporate this, or ignore it completely! They come from a populated nether, where minecraft blazes are 'blaze constructs', and minecraft ghasts are 'trueghasts', etc etc, hence the use of my phrase 'to use fandom terms'. Aberdeen is simply a blaze in his world, Quill is a ghast, Pyre is a magman, Ire is a wither skeleton.Aberdeen and Quill are also in a relationship. What type of relationship? Who knows!! It's Something, whether it be a QPR, romantic, platonic, or whatever. Go nuts with the relationship anarchy.

Their World
Originally a human farmer, East survived the sculk infestation that killed almost all of their kind. However in doing so, they became the god they are now, and a part of their soul split off into the Nether unknowingly. East is from the overworld, and has ties to the eerie and mystical. Think 'God of Arepo' vibes. They still enjoy farming and harvest, and are kind and generous, most of the time. There is something darker about them.Lethe is what becomes of the part of East's soul that split off into the Nether. She retains few memories of her life, and has no knowledge of East herself.
